Hi I've downloaded several demos (from nvidia site) featuring shader effects, it's said that these apps are compiled with DX 9.0c, but I had DX 9.0b; I tried to run them but I received an error expressing that I do not have the file d3dx9_25.dll, so I got it from web, copied it to the system32 folder, the problem still persisted, I downloaded DX 9.0c redistributable (about 35 mb) and installed it, now I have dx 9.0c, but the problem still persists, what does the file d3dx9_25.dll do and what should I do with it? where should I place it to be able to run these cool effects? www.galaxyroad.com, soon will have english contents too...

Since january 2005 you don't need only the DX9c.
You need the right DX9c!

d3dx9_24.dll = DX9c february edition

d3dx9_25.dll = DX9c april edition

You need to download the last DX to run your application.

The next dll will be: d3dx9_26.dll (maybe in 1 or 2 months)
