TileMap

Hi, I need to create a tilemap from some .bmp files. How can i make only one big tile from a lots of little tiles? I need to rotate and translate the map on X and Y axis, it's a 2d racing game :) My car should be static in center screen and map moving under it.

1. Do it in photoshop(or something simmilar), there is no magic way of doing this.

2. then use glRotate to rotate on the z axis , and glTranslate to translate on the x and y axis, it's simple.

3. Use orthographic projection, take a look at lesson21 for more info.

you could also load the bmp's and stitch them together in memory before binding the result to a texture.
