I'm pretty new to D3D, and I'm doing a C# implementation. I'm trying to draw an ellipse in 3D, but one that can change in size an shape (think planets traveling along a visible orbit that can be altered by outside forces). Is there a function I can use, or a math library, or something I can do to simplify things? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just draw a line strip after computing the arc points. I don't use C#, so I can't give you code specifics. I find 32 points are usually enough to have a smooth arc, but it depends on the distance it is viewed.

Thanks. I thought I might have to use this method - I'll give it a shot.
