Fliping and Rotating an object in 2d

What kind of mathmatical and perpixle operations are involved in making an object do a reflection. How would you go about copying the pixles from one side a line to another

If you can get the array of pixels, just do something like this pseudo code:

for each x pixel from left
for each y pixel from top
temporary pixel = current pixel
current pixel = pixel at reflected y position and same x position
pixel at reflected y position and same x position = temporary pixel.
