convert a D3DXVECTOR3 to euler angles...

Maybe I am approaching things wrongly, but I have had a hard time finding a solution that works to this problem. I need to convert a vector3 to a set of euler angles that I can apply to D3DXMatrixRotationYawPitchRoll function. This is so I can point objects along their look vector.... surely not such an uncommon event! Any help really appreciated, I am losing it a bit here :P Simon

Ah I see!

I had tried this already, but foolishly used it as the rotation matrix, not the world matrix!

no wonder the poor craft went so bananas!

Still, its made me look into quaternions so not such a bad thing
