Question about Blizzard's mdx model format

I've been searching for about 5 hours now, and haven't been able to find any real information on how to either load or render a mdx (from Warcraft 3) file. In the old news section of the main NeHe page it mentions a document created by Vic Hollis and Matt Boelter explaining the file format, and even links to it. However, it appears to have disappeared off the site and off the internet in general :) So I am hoping someone either knows of a mirror to this document, or could point me towards a decent description of the format?

Unfortunately it wasn't there, but if anyone's interested I managed to find a pretty decent file format specification at http://republicola.wc3campaigns.com/mdlxdata.txt

I'll give implementing it a go.
