Hi. I've been using a background image for the majority of my site. However ive found that it shows up very wrong on some computer screens. Is it possible to use a foreground picture but make it cover the whole screen so it seems like a background picture? Ive tried using "img src="backgroundpicture.png" and setting the width to 800, height to 600. It still wont cover the whole screen on my computer. Any tips?

Except when using layers, a foreground picture would disallow you any other content on the site so its kind of useless. Also, you can never make the background picture good for all screens; asside from storing it in all common display formats and selecting it dynamically perhaps.

But have a look at the background options you can set when using CSS (cascding styel sheets). They allow you to specify what should be done when the image does not fit exactly, like putting it in the right-bottom corner or repeating it along the x-axis but not the y-axis, et cetera.

Greetz,

Illco
