pendulum simulation

I´m doing this in 2D. I want to simulate a pendulum. I have made the x=cos(angle) and y=-sin(angle), but how do i find out the angle? In my research i found angular accleeration=-this.gravity/this.len*sin(this.angle) But that doesn´t apply the length of the string and neither does it slow down after some time etc.
