color filter

Hello everybody i have a question about filtering colors. How would i build a filter and where should i put it in (assume that i'm using the usual nehe source). My goal is to set up a filter, where i could put in rgb values. Only these values should be visible just like i wanna see only the red values of each pixel. What do i have to do? Thx

well you could use light, red light only will give you just the red parts of textures...

yes, but i want to render a normal scene and get only the red values.

My goal is to write some type of an anaglyph-renderer. So i need to render a scene twice, one only with the red values and one only with the cyan values.

any ideas?
