I've wrote this small demo on heightmap rendering and glsl. There's a nice water effect with reflections using pbuffers and a sky dome with moving clouds (the sky mesh has a BIG bug...it's impossible to miss :D it's caused by the mesh itself, but i'm too lazy to fix it :P ) Many thanks go to this site www.frustum.org/3d , this guy is amazing! Here's the link: http://www.neoborn.com/users/b3rs3rk/outdoor%20demo.rar use the mouse and w,a,s,d to move around let me know what u think ^___^

Very nice. Runs smoothly at 84fps on my laptop, 2.8hgz P4 + Radeon 9700 pro.

The only glitch I saw (other than the sky dome issue you already know about) is when you get too low to the water level you get artifacts at the bottom of the screen. I guess this is caused by using a vertex shader to perturb the water verticies?

It looks great. Has nice frame rates too. I really like the clouds evn with the buggy mesh.

You have several textures such as walls with bumpmaps etc. Any chance of seeing these implemented too? Just want to see how it would look.

Very nice and smooth - 84fps on my 2.2ghz radeon 9800 machine :) Good job! My only criticism is the clouds seem to go down too far, and everything feels 'cramped'

i'll fix the cloud problem soon, just the time to draw another skydome and work a little with the shader's code :)
The REAL problem is that now my Fx 5700 is died and i've "only" a GeFo 3Ti200 so i can only wait...
