Setting up SDL_gfx with VC6 on XP

Hi! I've tried building SDL_gfx using the "nmake" command, but got this error: makefile(12) : fatal error U1035: syntax error : expected ':' or '=' separator Stop. does anyone know what to do?

I had the same problem..., I'm not sure, but I think I fixed it by removing all the "^M"...., you'll still have to change the path to make it compile....

well, there is no "^M"

this is exactly what i do:
*Setting environment with VCVARS32.BAT
*copy VisualC\makefile
*try to build with nmake

and this is what the makefile contains:

# This makefile will build an SDL_gfx.dll with Visual C
# It was made for VC6 on Windows 98
#
# nmake should build the lot.
# .dll file goes in your system directory
# .lib and the .h files go into the searchpath of you compiler
#
# Edit this:
LIBSDL=C:\sdl\SDL.lib

# Leave the rest
CFLAGS=-DBUILD_DLL -DWIN32

.c.obj:$(CC)$(CFLAGS) -I. $(CPPFLAGS) -c$(<:/=\)

OBJS=SDL_framerate.obj SDL_gfxPrimitives.obj SDL_imageFilter.obj SDL_rotozoom.obj

SDL_gfx.dll: $(OBJS) cl$(OBJS) /link /dll /out:$@$(LIBSDL)
clean:
del *.obj
del *.lib
del *.exp
del *.dll

the problem should be on line 12, but even if i erase that line i still get the same problem, which is

makefile(12) : fatal error U1035: syntax error : expected ':' or '=' separator

I have SDL_gfx precompiled that I made on VC7, and I think it'll work with VC6.
