Hi, Where can I get some good looking enviroment maps? I've been googling for a while, but cannot find any free dds files. Or even texture CDs that contain environment maps. Do you know any? Thanks, Peter

You can use Bryce 3D to generate outdoor environment maps.

That's funny, I was looking for the same exact thing today. Through Google, I found this site. There are some pretty good ones on there (they aren't HDR ready, though). I think Paul Debevec's site may have some of those.

I wish I could search the old posts myself... the search is always "temporarily" disabled. When will it work again?

I know - every day I wish that it would be enabled again. The google search just sucks. Who knows when it'll be back - it's been gone *forever*.
