Can you tell me how to include alphablending using PNG-24 in MIDP2 java 3d immediate mode. i have made the PNG transparent as it appears in Photoshop and set the composite values preoperly, i am still not able to make billboards and trees in 3D, any suggestions?

Hey dude, Let me know which APIs' u r using?

JSR-184 or Mascot Capsule V3?

Both supports Alpha blending, nut in different way.

I think ur probably talking about JSR - 184.
Also why ur using 24-bit png.
Use 8bit one with transparent color. and then u can use Compositing mode for ur mesh or whatever to blend it with other things..

To get my sprites to be transparent I had to set the alpha and blending modes on a CompositionMode of the Apperance.

You might also have to set blending on the texture. (not sure though. 1st works but this is also in my code so you might need both)
