2D reflections

Hey, I'm trying to implant 2D reflections into my 3D engine, but I've no idea how to do that! First of all I don't know how to calculate the reflection matrix and stuff. If someone has a example for me, I would realy like that! Thanks in advance.

If you have refraction working, then why would reflection be any harder?
What's important is to descrive what method you intend to use. Planar reflection (stencil or some render to texture method)? Reflection using cubemaps? Reflection using sphere maps?

Only thing i don't know is how to render it... how to calculate the camera position and things.. If someone has a example, with shader would be nice, i'd realy, realy like that! :D
