Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 is giving me way too many problems... tryin to use DirectX, I linked all libraries and included all headers, but it gives me a "LNK1113 error: invalid machine type" when I link d3d9.lib. The help said I needed to rebuild the object file? The directions were way too confusing... anyone know what to do? I greatly appreciate it.

What version of DirectX are you attempting to use? The last supported release that works under VC++ 6 was back in October (or something like that). It would really be a good idea to use Visual Studio .NET. That might be part of the problem.

The last VC++ 6.0 DX SDK was the Octobre SDK but even if using that SDK you'll have to download the extras package which includes the VC++ 6.0 Libs and use those.

cheers,
Marcel
