Trying to use sound3d.lib

I''m trying to use the sound3d.lib instead of SEAL with PR4 beta1. I get the following error in VC6. unresolved external symbol _DirectSoundCreate@12 This occurs even though _DirectSoundCreate@12 is present in sound3d.lib and of course I have included sound3d.lib in the project library settings. what''s up? Thanks Chris that was the problem.

Is there any sample code or doc on the usage
of this library [other than looking at includes]?

The character animation system uses it.
Look in \chars\src\events.c, and also the initialization routines.

Also the full code for sound3d.lib is in \chars\sound\sound3d\
