I was originally using Python, but now that I've remembered most of the basic programming stuff I thought maybe learning C++ would be better, so I don't have to learn it later. I've already programmed in basic before (using Qbasic...yeah I know) and I made two Text Based RPG's before. One on my own and the other with another friend. My problem is that Dev-Cpp never seems to work for me, and all I want is a compiler that I can throw a notepad file into and get an executable out at the other end. There are tutorials abound so that won't be a problem. Any help? Maybe I should try something different with Dev-Cpp?
