HY! How can i get the depth value of a pixel in D3D9, without PixelShader? This Will be the better: float GetDepth(unsigned X,unsigned Y) { ... } :-) But i know, this is not so easy! Please HELP! BYE!

hi,

in theory, you can lock your depth buffer, if ithas the proper type (something like depth16_lockable), however, I didn't ever succeeded in doing that.

use a pixel shader, that's simple. really!
