Fullscreen - windowed ???

i have problem with my window. after i init. d3d, i try to make my window can be fullscreen or windowed when i push a key. i have done and the window can be fullscreen and windowed, but when i try to move from fullscreen to windowed, all the things in back of the window going black...... why does it happen ? anybody have more efficient code to do this ????

isn't it so that the D3DPRESENT_PARAMETERS should be different, and that you have to init D3D again when you switch from windowed to fullscreen and backwards?

Hiya be17_17y,
Firstly... when you create the device, the device gets created it gets created with the presentation parameters that you specified. what this means is that the backbuffer get created.. now when you create the device windowed and then switch to fullscreen you change the window. The device might get lost and thus rendering ceases. The app will still continue to work, but the device isn't rendering/presenting the back buffer to the display. Thus you will have to reset your device.

Look at Device Lost and Device Reset. :)
