CTRL-ALT-DEL
In DX7, we had the DDSCL_ALLOWREBOOT flag for SetCooperativeLevel.
Where did it go in DX8? I can''t do CTRL-ALT-DEL in a full-screen
DX8 app.
There may still be a way, I haven''t messed with DX8 yet though, so I can''t say.
I hope there is still a way .

Power button? Hey 1 is better than 3 anyways, right? Or perhaps just ask your ma to pull the power cable for ya
It takes about 3-4 minutes to boot up my computer, so I try to avoid
shutting it off. And it gets frustrating when you''re debugging a
full-screen program that crashes and you have no way to kill the process.
My machine doesn''t lock up, just the program, so I have no way of
exiting.
