repeating sounds?

How can you get direct sound 8 to mix 2 copies of the same sound in the primary buffer? Different sounds mix fine but I can only play 1 copy of the same sound at 1 time. Heeelp, please Frank

I haven''t done too much with DSound, but I seem to recall from a tut I studied that the code loaded the same wav twice and just treated it as different sounds.

Doesn''t that double the memory requirement? Hmm... I was hoping microsoft had something more transparent, eg. you just use PlaySegment whenever you want and it handles it. Oh well Thanks anyway.

You can duplicate a buffer somehow so it doesn''t copy the memory - it uses the same memory but a new buffer.
Can''t remember how to do it tho''
