I'm trying to compile NeHe's lesson 7 to get my feet wet with Microsoft's free C++ compiler. I got the Platform SDK last night, so I think I theoretically have what I need installed. I tried the following command: cl Lesson7.cpp opengl32.lib glu32.lib kernel32.lib user32.lib winspool.lib comdlg32.lib advapi32.lib shell32.lib ole32.lib oleaut32.lib uuid.lib It produced the following errors: Lesson7.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _auxDIBImageLoadA@4 refe renced in function "struct _AUX_RGBImageRec * __cdecl LoadBMP(char *)" (?LoadBMP @@YAPAU_AUX_RGBImageRec@@PAD@Z) Lesson7.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__SetPixelFormat@12 referenced in function "int __cdecl CreateGLWindow(char *,int,int,int,bool)" (? CreateGLWindow@@YAHPADHHH_N@Z) Lesson7.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__ChoosePixelFormat @8 referenced in function "int __cdecl CreateGLWindow(char *,int,int,int,bool)" (?CreateGLWindow@@YAHPADHHH_N@Z) Lesson7.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol __imp__SwapBuffers@4 ref erenced in function _WinMain@16 Lesson7.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 4 unresolved externals I thought the problem might be that I wasn't compiling glaux.lib in there, but when I do that, I get a ton more errors. Any ideas? Mike C. http://www.coolgroups.com/zoomer/

Never mind. Looks like I needed to add glaux.lib and gdi32.lib.
