Hi,

For once D3D looks alot cleaner.

I was going thru Whiskex''s example source and i was actually looking forward to code D3D under DX8 / Delphi.

DX8 simplified alot of tasks:
initializing your enviroment, lights, matrices ..etc looks alot simpler than it used to be.

DX7 was a step in the right direction, and in my oppinion, DX8 is a leap in the right direction.

I''ve seen alot of people say : '' Well i''ve installed DX8 runtime and i only get 1 fps increase in Quake3 ''. ?!?

I think DX8 was meant to add new functionnality to the api while simplifying the life of developpers and trying to maintain backward compatibility.

I don''t think it was meant as a videocard upgrade replacement

Will be pretty sweet once the headers a done.

my 2 cents.

Gunner.
