I am just starting to try and get to grips with MFC. My application needs parameters to create a documents, but MFC seems to always want to start with an empty document. This means in my onfilenew on the application object where I have it call the dialog to get this information is popping up everytime the application is run. This is not good because the user may want to just open an existing document. How can I get it to either not create a document on startup, OR just have the dialog show when they select new from the menu, and just have a default parameterized document to start with no popup? Thanks
