'as' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I have noticed it leaves behind an assembly file(*.s) in the /Temp folder of my account(win xp). Is this the only one I'll need to assemble? Which assembler do I use(don't forget filename in response)? Is there any way to at least get the compiler to leave the file in the same folder as the compiler(ocamlopt), thus making my life easier?
edit:
I suppose I can just download the msvc port and dl masm, but its bytecode is slower(yes I see the irony) and I don't want to risk messing up my installation by trying both.

OCaml win32 native code compilation[solved]
I've installed the MinGW port and cygwin but I don't know what part of cygwin I need nor how to use it. ocamlopt and ocamlopt.opt give
For some reason I couldn't edit my post(I also noticed I have to log back in now, probably the cause).
Anyway, prob solved.
edit2:
The 'as' refers to the GNU Assembler, which is part of binutils under the 'Devel' heading of the cygwin set up program(setup.exe). It will further require gcc.
Things I needed from cygwin to get ocamlopt.opt to work(in case you want to delete the rest of cygwin):
cygwin1.dll
cygintl-3.dll
cygiconv-2.dll
as.exe
gcc.exe
Those dll's were part of the default install which was hundreds of megabytes, sorry I don't know nor care to look what is the minimal you need to install to get those dlls.
