Vertex animation in .X files?

Greetings! I was wondering if it is possible to make .X files to store face information and multiple vertex buffers/frames like in Quake2 MD2? For example 500 faces with 1500 vertices and 50 frames of animation would give you: 500 faces list, 50x 1500 vertex lists. For sure, it is possible when you create your own templates for .X file, but I am wondering if it is supported by native? Thank you in advance!
