Post Yer Screenshots! Well, we all pretty much derailed Robomaniac's thread, so I figured we needed a generic screenshot thread for general usage. Yay preventatively combatting thread duplication by generic duplication of threads. Rules for Posting:
  • Only screenshots from 4E4 entries, please [wink]
  • Don't feel afraid to use <IMG> tags (note: these boards don't support BBCode - you have to use straight-up HTML)
  • Concept art is fine, as long as you mark it as such. Don't need the thread to be flooded with "omfg is that in-game?!" posts
  • Don't post code shots unless there's something meaningful behind it. :P
  • No flaming.
  • DO NOT POST IMAGES FROM GEOCITIES! Geocities only allots you a small amount of bandwidth which is quickly consumed from constant views of images. Please use a host which supplies unlimited remote linking (like ImageShack or DevImg.net). Thanks ;)

Screenshot

Just a single sprite and a tile engine. Not much yet.

Renaming a bmp to .png doesn't make it a .png file :).

I know, I didn't rename it. I saved it with MS Paint. Stupid MS paint... I just remembered that MSPAINT doesn't convert stuff, it just leaves it at a BMP file. I don't think Microsoft wanted to use something they didn't invent...

Here is the same thing as a .PNG file.

Unfornutely I have no screenshots yet--other than taking pictures of my code.

I'd prefer to have coded a more complete codebase, then have atleast developer artwork in the game. Maybe not playable, maybe not balanced, but something to show.

This is mostly a side effect of my design for my level layout, as it isn't a traditional tileplaceing system (where there is a blank background. and tiles are placed anywhere--not in a one or two dimentional array like the traditional method).

However, are Mockups okay?

Just brainstorming at the moment.

You screwed up the toes (unless that is an alien the headcrap is attacking). Hands are fine, but with toes you have the biggest on the inner side of the foot, have the middle three reasonably the same length, and have the pinky toe the shortest.

Big toe is in on the left on the right foot, and right on the left foot--so on the inner side of the foot.

Great image though--hope to see a decent entry to compete against :P
