There were 2 keywords I read about this topic: OpenGL and GLUT. Now, GLUT seems to be some kind of wrapper or something. So I was wondering if it''s fast and if it''s a suitable way to program OpenGL or if it''s just for the lazy people :-) I''ve never done anything in OpenGL, so if you have some tips & tricks for newbie, go ahead! Thanks

GLUT is not really a wrapper, more a helper library to accomplish some of the common tasks in OpenGL, like creating a window, etc.
It is a good alternative to doing things the win32 way, and it''s portable
As for fast... since its only a helper library, you don''t use too many functions from it to render a scene, and it won''t slow your app down.
