Kansas game progammers

I'm wondering if it'll be worth starting a game programming group in Lawrance, Kansas anyone close?

Student at KSU. Down in Wichita for the summer time. Not that I would consider myself a 'game programmer' yet(unless rocking out with console apps is the cool thing to do these days), but the desire is there. ;)
