How should Direct3D.Sprite be used?

I hope this question can help others, but no one else seems to have had this question. How are you supposed to use Sprite? Are you supposed to create one, and use it to display every texture? Or are you supposed to create more than one? If you do, should you call Begin/End on all of them, or just one?

You should create one sprite instance and render all your sprite images through it. Thus, you only need one Begin/End pair for all your 2D rendering.
