Can anyone tell me how to get Polygons drawing with a Gourauded alpha (from the diffuse vertex colours) on an ATI RAGE PRO? I can get the RGB values gourauding across the poly, but I cannot make one vertex transparent and the others opaque. Thanks in Advance BB

The way to do this in DirectX is to use the D3DTSS_BLENDDIFFUSEALPHA state. You must also set the alpha component of the vertex diffuse color to be the transparency level.

Have you been able to get it working on other cards?

Sorry about that, it''s the D3DTOP_BLENDDIFFUSEALPHA, not D3DTSS_BLENDDIFFUSEALPHA. You can use this to set the alpha values. Remember to enable alpha blending, as well as the proper src and dest blend modes.
