hello there! I try to render a sky-shpere using d3d since a few weeks - without success. I thought it should be a triangle-fan on the top of the spere and then a few triangle-strips. but if I render each of them with drawindexedprimitive - how can I texture these meshes? does someone know a good link with a tutorial or source for rendering sky-spheres using d3d? and sorry for my bad english... I would use a .x file if I could model a sphere. I tried it yesterday - but how can I create a spehre which is visible
within it?

I create a large half-dome (which could also be a sphere) above my play area, then invert the normal properties of it; thereby turning it "inside out". After that my textures go on the inside and I can still keep one side culled.
