Problem Compiling Direct x file

When I try to compile a VC++ file I get 3 error message C:\computing\Game\main.cpp(14) : error C2146: syntax error : missing '';'' before identifier ''lpDD'' C:\computing\Game\main.cpp(14) : error C2501: ''LPDIRECTDRAW7'' : missing storage-class or type specifiers C:\computing\Game\main.cpp(14) : fatal error C1004: unexpected end of file found Error executing cl.exe. The program is a simple prog that just flip from the back buffer to the front. I am a newbie to direct X what am I doing wrong

Hi Jimmy,
your problem is most likely that you do not have the right headers.

Possible reasons for this problem include just not having the right headers, in which case you need to get them (i.e. download the DirectX SDK.) or not having the DirectX headers in your include path (which you can edit in MSVC under Project Settings).
