DirectX Control Panel Utility
It''s installed automatically, I believe to the WINDOWS or WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. I don''t remember the file name, though.

And then, of course, it appears in your Control Panel. If it doesn''t show up, something went wrong

come on, this is Microsoft we''re talking about here... No really, its cause the Control Panel utility is more of a systems configurer. You can modify how DirectX affects your system settings - no, how can i explain this.... well, you''ve probably toyed around with it enough you know what I mean. It does to DirectX what the Display Properties does to your monitor and what Systems does to your hardware. There, that sounded good. The other utilities in DirectX only convert files, view files, and do other little stuff that don;t change the attributes of DirectX itself. Hah! That''s it. Knew I''d get it right sooner or later.
