OpenGL using .x mesh files in openGL: anyone do it?

hey guys does anyone have experience using directx mesh files in openGL? i'm curious as to whether or not anyone has ever wanted to do this and how they went about it.

Yep. It wasn't too difficult; You can use DirectX to parse an X file even if you use OpenGL for display. Not many caveats, except that Direct3D uses a different coordinate system, and that X files may use a given vertex with multiple texcoords (for instance, along a seam).
