I am trying to create my own x file parser. My problem is that I need to get the !next! data object. I can call ID3DXFileEnumObject::GetChild to get it, but it requires a GUID. The only way that I can get this is thru ID3DXFileData::GetID. But I don't have a data object. I see a circular dependency. I also don't know what order the objects are in. I want to be able to iterate thru the entire list without knowing what is next and supplying an GUID. Please help, and thanks in advance

Well I don't know if this is of much help but I found this through searching google. It seems like it may be what your looking for? It will at least give you an idea of how someone made a x-file parser, along with a good example of one.
