I was considering it for complementing gameStudio, but then I found out that the plugin API wasn't entirelly finished, there was no way to write custom made exporters for it, and the formats it does support are more suited for movie making than real time rendering such as in games, I couldn't risk buying it, and then wait forever for them to finish up the API, so I bought a Softimage|XSI foundation license instead.

From the tutorials I saw, it really seems to make animation a LOT easier though.

Are you happy of XSI 4.2 foundation ?
I have read that learning curve is quite steep, the commands are not intuitive, I mean
I am interested in animation only
However Messiah can export the .x file , which is a game focused file format
