Hello everyone! As I want to do some image-based realtime lighting, I have to produce massively blurred diffuse cube maps. For this task I'm currently using ATI's CubeMapGen. I've tried it both in the standalone version and as a HDRShop Plugin. In both versions the program produces very very ugly color seam artifacts that look like a 64 color GIF even though the texture format is A32B32G32R32F. Is anyone familiar with this problem and what can I do about it? thanks in advance Robin

I found out it has nothing to do with CubeMapGen or HDRShop whatsoever. The Problem even exists if I take a (ldr) screenshot from my perfectly smooth hdr image in HDR Shop and paste it to Photoshop.
I accidentially had 16 bit color depth set. *embarrassed*
