Hi im having a problem getting a JTextField to tell me when the text has been edited with event listeners. Only the action listener works, but only when you press enter after you have typed something. Am I doing something wrong? I need to find out when anything at all has been input. *java 1.4.2
import javax.swing.event.*;
import javax.swing.*;
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;

public class Test extends JFrame implements ActionListener, InputMethodListener
{

public Test()
{
    JTextField txtField = new JTextField();
    txtField.setColumns(20);
    txtField.addActionListener(this);
    txtField.addInputMethodListener(this);

    getContentPane().setLayout(new BorderLayout());
    setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);

    getContentPane().add(txtField, BorderLayout.CENTER);

    pack();

    setVisible(true);
}

public static void main(String[] args)
  {
    Test tl = new Test();
  }

  public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent actEvet)
  {
    System.out.println("mod");
  }

  public void inputMethodTextChanged(InputMethodEvent inEvent)
  {
    System.out.println("changed");
  }

  public void caretPositionChanged(InputMethodEvent inEvent)
  {
    System.out.println("pos");
  }

}
