Directshow and rendering question

Wow, haven't done any DX coding in a while. Anyway, I finally got my cutscenes to work in DX exclusive mode with DirectShow (actually I just worked with the tutorial on Anyway, I think it is very cool. I have one slight query though. For those that don't know, the way the tutorial does it, is by creating a child window and rendering the video in that. Now I would like to use the video in the game while rendering certain things alongside it. But my render function draws over the child window. So I was wondering if there is a function like ExcludeClipRect() (from the GDI) in D3D?
