Reading Bitmap Image from the Memory

Hello, I noticed that displaying bitmap on the surface is done by loading the bmp file from file. I was wondering, if this could be done through memory.i.e., I pass my bmp as an array into the memory and read it from memort, instead from file as I'm doing now. Can someone point me towards good documentation in this regard or a sample code that does that? Your help is appreaciated. thanks regards

Look up loading functions in the D3DX library that end something like FromFileInMemory(), ex: D3DXCreateTextureFromFileInMemory.
You can find these on the MSDN.
Funny thing you should ask, because I am researching it right now.
