Hello, I'm writing a 2d game in OpenGL for experience and I wonder if I should just clear the screen every frame or save the background and redraw the sprites. Which would be faster? Thanks~ John DiSanti

Lots of traditional 2d techniques (like dirty rects and pallette tricks) go clean out the window when you move to 2d with OpenGL. Clearing and redrawing the whole thing every frame is definatly the way to go.
