Hand-Drawn Sprites

If you have ever seen the sprites in the Game Alien Hominid, they are all hand-drawn. However, it doesn't have that thing where the line thickness changes when the character moves (in most of the sprites in the game, and in the console versions. How do you think they do it, what programs do they use, and for you Project Dogwaffle users, do you think it's possible with Dogwaffle? Please share your opinion.

Maybe they draw them big and shrink them down? That would reduce the line widths...I've never seen the game, just a shot in the dark...

im fairly certain i dont know what you mean when you said line thickness changes when sprites animate. do you have an example?

Well it IS a commercial product, so I assume they tweak the initial scan to make the overall animation look right.

At least that's what I would do, bring up the scan in photoshop and erase any scratches and clean up the lines.

You can always ask the creator of the sprites. You'll be able to contact him some how through www.newgrounds.com. I believe he goes by the name sinjid there.
