Hi, for a strategic simulation game (not real time) I would like to develop, I need a simple physic model to simulate the acceleration/decceleration/descent rate etc. of various planes (fighters etc.). I do not need an exact model because this is not a real time simulation but more a strategic simulation. Does anybody know some algorithm/ideas for a simple model which can be satisfied with some basic parameters like thrust/weight/wing size/wing form/max speed ? Thanks for any help!

Since your game is not in real time, I suspect that you need performance information such as fuel capacity, top speed, range, ceiling, weapons available, etc. Here are a few links to jet specifications.

f14
f18
f22

Can you be more specific about what you need?

Hi,

no, I do not need jet specifications.

What I need is a simple generic ("areodynamic") model/engine to simulate accleration/deccleration, turn rate etc. of jets. As input, basic parameters like thrust, thrust:weight ratio, wing size/type, top speed, how agile the plane is, etc. should be sufficient.

Thanks.
