3ds file and tcb splines

Hi, I am trying to create a 3ds scene viewer. I am currently working animation, so I have searched documentation about tcp spline wich are use normaly in 3ds files. But I was surprised to see that 3d studio max, when I am exporting scene, create a spline point for each frame and doesn't use the tension or bias parameters. This is nonsense ! Does anyone used tcb track from 3ds file and can explain why my tracks are not exported by 3d studio max itself correctly ? Thanks in advance ++ schtroumpf
