HI I've got some terrain that has arbitrarily complex geometry (ie. caves, overhangs, etc. ) so I've been looking at ways to implement a continuous LOD scheme. I've read that ROAM can handle arbitrary geometry so this looks promising, but I'm not sure if this is the right choice. Does anyone have any opinions on ROAM 2 or can anyone suggest an alternative? Thanks

I can't help you with ROAM 2.0, but I always thought Progressive Meshes for Large Models of Arbitrary Topology, a thesis by Chris Prince (available here) was intriguing.
