LPCSTR and Hungarian Notation

When I break down this var in Hungarian Notation, it doesn't make any sense to me. It seems to say: "Long, Pointer, C-String" How can a C-String be of type long instead of char* If someone has some insight please tell :)

The C stands for Constant, not C-String.
Long Pointer means that it's a 32bit pointer. It's long because in Win16 (Windows 3.1, etc), you used 16 bit pointers.
