Multiple images as mask?

MY problem is this; I'd want to create 2-D darkness effect, lit by lights that are separate images used as masks. As far as I know, the basics for this would be: Set blending Render light masks (as textured quads) Re-set blending Render darkness (as quad) End However, I have no clue about the blendfuncs to be used, or possible depth settings - normal stuff doesn't seem to work properly, when using multiple images as masks. Is there perhaps some specific trick for this to get it done? Oh yeah; My game engine uses 32 bit images for graphics. Thank you very much for your help! :) - necrophilissimo -
