Not really programming but... My MySQL server has been fine for a while, but this weekend out of no where I can't seem to assign schema privelages to users through MySQL Administrator. I do a fresh install of MySQL, setup the root user with the appropriate password, select root access from remote computers (if that matters), then I log into the MySQL Administrator. I go to create a new schema (DB), then I go the user administration part. I select the root user, goto schema privelages, and try to assign things to the user. I hit apply and I get this message:
Error while storing the user information. The user might have been deleted. Please refresh the user list.
So I refresh it, try again, same crap. I can make a new user, and hosts to connect from, I try to assign privelages with them and the same thing. I even formatted my win 2k3 server and I tried again, same crap. What in the world could possibly be doing this?! Anyone have any suggestions what it might be? :|
