I am trying to save/write/delete record store data but whenever I try and open the record store I get this error:
javax.microedition.rms.RecordStoreException: Can't get FileName
Has anyone seen this error, or know what this error is? The calling code is
final static boolean openRecordStore(String rs)
{
     if (recStore == null)
     {
	try
	{
	    recStore = RecordStore.openRecordStore(rs, true);
        catch (Exception e)
	{
	    System.out.println(e.toString());
	    e.printStackTrace();
	}
        return true;
     }
     return false;
}

usually, emulators store the recordstores in files, something like "run_by_class_storage_#B#L#A.db" where "BLA" is what you send to openRecordStore. if this string contains characters that are not valid for a filename (on windows any of : " \ / * > < ? |), then probably this is the problem.
